Player Window
To share the address of the station you're listening to, simply press (Command-C) while the Player window is in the foreground. The address is now on yoru clipboard, ready to be pasted anywhere with the Paste command. (Command-V). If someone else gives you an station address, simply press (Command-V) while your Player window is in the foreground, and AMP Radio will automatically connect to that station.
While streaming an .m3u file, you will see the name of the file playing followed by the location. After this, you will see two numbers, like [1/20]. This means you are currently playing the first track out of twenty on the .m3u's playlist. Move ahead tracks by pressing Shift-.(> key) and back by pressing Shift-,(< key).
Preferences
Net and Disk Cache work much like the skip protection on a portable CD player. Adjust them, in the Millennium Preferences under the Input tab in Preferences, to higher levels if you experience skipping in your audio playing.
The "Scroll info speed" option will change how fast the information in the Info Window of the Player scrolls. Adjust it to suit your needs.
Use Tool Tips to learn all the controls of AMP Radio. Once you know how it all works, turn them off.
For a more realistic feel, turn on "Realistic Knobs".
The Mono Enhancer is a great way to make mono files and streams sound much better. Enable it under the DSP tab.
Adjust the 10 band equalizer to get the perfect sound! Or use one of the 6 presets built in.
Tracker
The tracker is the best way to find the music you want to hear. Choose your favorite genre, and scan through lists. Or you can choose the All list, and use the find feature. Just press (Command-F) and type in the keyword you want to search for.
To save a tracker station, drag it from the the tracker to the playlist.
To bookmark a station, press Command-D or choose Add Bookmark from the Edit menu.
Playlist
AMP Radio's hierarchical playlist allows you to sort your music anyway you like. If you'd like a simple list, just add files. If you'd like a more complex list, add folders, or create them.
To create a group, press (Command-K). You will now be able to add files into this folder.
When moving files, you will see a black bar above the file name. Moving the file to the left or right causes this bar to lengthen or shorten. This bar is an indication of what level of the hierarchy the file will fall into. This may seem confusing, but just give it a whirl!
To rename a group, or file on the playlist, Get Info on it by highlighting it and pressing(Command-I) or choosing Get Info" from the File menu.
To quickly load a Playlist file, keep it in the Playlist folder. Then access it from the Playlist Menu inside AMP Radio.
